Safety & HSE

At Lock N Key Constructions, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) is not an afterthought — it is a core value embedded in every project we undertake. We believe that a safe worksite is a productive worksite, and our commitment to zero incidents drives every decision on and off the field.

Our HSE framework aligns with industry best practices and applicable statutory requirements under the Building & Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act and other relevant regulations. Every project team member, from site engineers to contract labourers, is trained and accountable for maintaining a safe working environment.

Our HSE Approach

Our safety management system is structured around five core pillars that together create a culture of prevention, responsibility, and continuous improvement.

1. Pre-Construction Safety Planning

Before breaking ground, we conduct thorough site hazard assessments, develop site-specific Safety Plans, and establish emergency response protocols. Risk registers are maintained and reviewed at every project phase to anticipate and mitigate potential hazards.

2. Worker Training & Induction

Every worker joining at Lock N Key Constructions undergoes a mandatory safety induction covering site rules, PPE requirements, emergency procedures, and safe work practices. Ongoing toolbox talks ensure continuous awareness and reinforcement of safety standards.

3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

We enforce strict PPE compliance across all site activities. Helmets, safety boots, high-visibility jackets, gloves, and harnesses are mandatory on all sites. Regular PPE audits are conducted, and non-compliance is treated with zero tolerance.

4. Site Inspections & Reporting

Daily site safety walkthroughs are conducted by our HSE officers and project managers. Any unsafe conditions, near-misses, or incidents are documented, investigated, and actioned immediately. Monthly HSE reports are shared with project owners and stakeholders for full transparency.

5. Environmental Responsibility

We minimize our environmental footprint through controlled dust management, responsible waste disposal, protection of water bodies, and use of eco-friendly construction practices wherever feasible. We aim to hand back every site in a cleaner condition than we found it.
